Meridy`s Restaurant & Lounge in Russell

Great place! I had the chicken cordon blue last night and the buffet this morning; all of the food was fantastic.There's also truck parking in the back, which is much appreciated!

Nice buffet, friendly atmosphere, fair prices. I had the beef soup, it was very good. My grandson made most of buffet, saw no dessert though. So far, seems best restaurant in Russell.

Cooked just like eating at Home with Down Home People. They read Your Heart and it's there. If you are going through Russell, KS you better stop here and eat. Don't miss out on Love. 💖😋😋😋

Nice people, but the food was not good. Salmon salad was a frozen piece of overcooked salmon square on top of a salad. The chicken livers my husband had were not breaded well and were soggy. The only thing we had that was good was the onion rings. Sorry Meridys! Not a good stop for us.

Meridy and her staff are wonderful. The buffet is also excellent!

INCREDIBLE!!! For what would be considered a "hole in the wall"...they hand hands down one the bests steaks we've had! The breakfast steak is 16oz...small ribeye is 22oz and the large is 32oz!!! Best stop we've made on our trip from Florida to Colorado!! A MUST TRY!!!

This place has the best and biggest steaks I have ever had! If you order a steak bring a big appetite and wear loose clothing. The staff is friendly and the locals who eat and drink here are nice as well. I recommend you stop here even if you're just passing through. There is ample parking for cars and trucks.

The only reason I went into this restaurant was for an employee meeting as a manager and training the company ordered food for us and allowed us to order whatever we wanted and what we got really wasn't that good definitely lacking in creativity and cooking

This restaurant/buffet is awesome!My hubby and I were road tripping back home to Denver and we seen the road sign along Interstate 70. We like to stop by mom and pop restaurants because the food is usually much better than fast food. Well, we weren’t disappointed in Meridy’s!! The menu was full of good selections. I had chicken. I also got soup. The soup was great too! Our tea was also included in the price of our meal! My hubby and I ate here for just 19.00 before tip and that included our drinks! Our service was great too! She was on top of our refills and making sure all was good! They also have a buffet, it seemed like it had a decent selection on that as well. (I ordered from the menu though) Overall, I would recommend you check out this place!

Great salad bar! Breakfast anytime. Huge, delicious steaks and great burgers! Friendly wait staff. Lunch buffets, (check for days and times).

Total waste of time and money to drive to Meridy’s in Russel Kansas. Steaks were terrible and poorly cooked. Steaks had no flavor, tough to chew with an excessive amount of fat. Rolls were cold, stale, and dry. Huge disappointment

I was passing through the area and decided to stop in and try this place. Glad I did! Very good menu selection, excellent service and a very helpful and friendly staff. I recommend this place if you are looking for a home style type food or a buffet. I am definitely going to come back again but I recommend bringing cash, while they do accept credit cards, it costs a little more if you pay via that method.

This restaurant is famous in this area and there are already so many good reviews. Most everything is homemade and good quality. I will add that they make everyone feel welcome including single diners like myself. They have a huge amount of overflow and seem very good at handling crowds. The buffet is well worth the price and never over ten bucks even on weekends. The buffet includes iced tea, hot tea, or coffee. The parking covers a very large area with plenty of room for big rigs, motor homes, trailers, etc. I have never seen it full. We are talking a good city block or more of parking. That alone tells you how popular they are.

You cant beat the hospitality and the great food. Small town folk with big hearts, kindness and can they cook. Buffet and menu ordering, beer, water and tea awaits your thirst. The servers are enjoyable to talk with. Next time your looking for a place to stop and grab dinner, stop in and have a seat and enjoy the menu. Tonight we grabbed the small horderves tray and chose the small ribeye steak dinner. Mashed potatoes and yummy brown gravy. Looking forward to my return trip.

This was a super cute small town restaurant! We stopped to get away from the storm, but the food was good and the service was very friendly! :)

Came here 3.5 years ago while driving for business across the country. Stayed just as amazing as that fateful morning back then. Great food great folks that run it. Highly recommend the buffet... wish I could be around for steak night, it sounds epic.

At the beginning of this year I said, "2020 will be the year of the Caesar salad." As a result I have ordered many Caesar salads from many eating establishments. Currently I'm on a trans-continental road trip on I-70. It was becoming dinner time and I was trembling with a hunger only a Caesar salad could relinquish. Now, nothing against Russell, but this place is a very small truck town. To be honest I didn't have the highest expectation for a mighty fine Caesar. But folks, let me tell you, I was wrong. Their grilled chicken Caesar came complete with olives, beets, carrots and croutons. She really rocked my sweaty grey socks to the core of my toenails. Everyone please come here to experience the amazing salad I did!

The Breafast steak is consistently the best! Worth pulling off I-70 to have a taste.

Meridy's is always a world class experience in a small friendly community setting. The food is always excellent, and even if that were not the case the service is always timely, friendly, and with a smile. If you ever pass through Russell, Kansas do yourself a favor and stop here for breakfast, lunch, or supper. I promise you won't regret it.

To have the biggest and best steak that is grass fed beef from local ranchers. You won't have a better piece of soft tender ribeye steak. It comes with all you can eat salad bar or soup. Choice of potato. And drink. I get sweet tea. The staff is wonderful and there is big truck parking in back. Call ahead to get a big one ready for you they personally cut the steak to your size. Small is cover the plate and large is a platter size which I got.I take it for dinner and then breakfast it is that big.

The girl at the counter with the long redish hair is super nice. The food very good. I had the buffet, and the quality is much better than most buffet places. It didn't taste like it came from.a can. The fried chicken was SO GOOD.

After driving for hours in the early morning hours we needed a good breakfast. My husband came across Meridy's on the map, so we stopped. Boy am I glad we did!! The best biscuits and gravy we have had, other than our Mammaws!! The service was nothing short of perfect with the American spirit and genuine hospitality!! The locals filled the restaurant with smiles, laughter and full bellies. So glad we stopped on our way back to Ohio!! Definitely stop in and have a great meal and be surrounded by lovely people 💕

Our favorite diner stop when driving through Kansas on I-70. Good old fashioned food. Reasonable prices. And friendly service.
